Christmas Puddings
A traditional Christmas pudding from a recipe handed down from Basia's mother. This recipe has changed little over the years, except it now uses vegetarian suet.

Two types of Christmas Puddings are available:
The Traditional Recipe:
Contains generous amounts of vine fruits, spices, ground almonds and is laced with brandy
The Nutty Recipe:
Walnuts, pecans, brazil nuts, almonds and hazelnuts are added to the traditional recipe to make this pud a nut-lover's feast!
As with the cake recipe, the puddings contain free range eggs and have a generous brandy content.
Again to cater for dietary concerns gluten free puds are available and sugar and alcohol-free, to order.
The puddings are in microwavable containers, but may of course be steamed or simmered.

Ingredients:

Flour, vegetable suet, breadcrumbs, dark brown sugar, assorted spices, ground almonds, raisins, currants, mixed peel, sultanas, salt, brandy, lemon and orange zest and juice.

Gluten free puds:
|
contain gluten free flour, gluten free breadcrumbs & gluten free suet, otherwise as traditional.

Cooking:
|
Puds are already cooked. For best results simmer for a minimum of 1½ hours. Alternatively they can be microwaved – take off foil over lid first! Times as per your microwave instructions.
